Wingmaster price check

i think people are confusing it with the 2 3/4" Wingmasters, which are around the $350 mark. like i said you could get ~$200 for the deer barrel alone (assuming its rifled) - which is what i would do, part it out.
there is a 2008 Wingmaster for $650 on the EE. i would start at $600 for the Wingmaster, and $190 for the deer barrel, and sell them separately - assuming they are in good condition.

dont listen to the lowballers - some of the prices quoted are absolutely absurd. a new Wingmaster costs $800.

$500 - $600 any day. more if fitted with Rem chokes.

older 2 3/4"'s with a fixed full choke might match up with the low ball $'s

+1. This is not a crappy Express, but a Wingmaster. No idea what it would sell for, but in very good to excellent condition I think anything less than $600-$650 would be a steal.

Mark

Did you just call my express "crappy"? Well, you are right. Same design and function as the Wingmaster (works great), but workmanship and the quality of the material sucks.

If the Wingmaster is in Excellent condition, then yes, I will buy it for six hundred(ish).

Well it's for sale locally - if I do pick it up, I actually suspect I'd keep it and sell my Winchester 1300. I like the speed pump, but I'd probably like the 870 a lot more, simply for deer season. I hunt in urban areas, and I would like the deer barrel - I could use buckshot for hunting closer to houses, then switch to slugs when I was outside the legal range.

I was actually carrying both my 12 gauge and my .30-30 this year a few times during hunting season, simply because the chance of running into a deer on the way into a "rifle-legal" area was so great. I jumped a couple does in "shotgun-legal" territory, but didn't have my doe tag - but if I had my doe tag, I would have been kicking myself for not having some buckshot ready.

This gun might work pretty well for that scenario!

I got one of the older, plain stocked 870 Wingmasters in 2.75" chamber and a 30" full choked barrel for $120, and paid another $120 for a deer barrel, but that was a really good deal even for the 1970s production gun.

Adding the 3" chamber and a Remchoke barrel would greatly enhance the price for all but the most beaten up Wingmaster (Say around $400) plus $150-200 for the cylinder choke barrel with rifle sights. The last time I checked, a new Wingmaster was either $599 or $699 plus taxes without an additional slug barrel.

Cheers,

Frank

I picked up an older Wingmaster, 3 in. chamber for about 35$. Put a ventrib, remchoke system barrel on it. Xmas. Gun still sits at a total of 35$.

I'll give you 50$ since you have the extra barrel!:p Kidding.

Would you sell the deer barrel separately?

Ok, ill be the first to admit im wrong, 450-500 with the barrel is quite low. However, not knowing the condition, or age we can only roughly estimate. I dont really know how much the extra rifled barrel would be worth so I wont comment on it.
Personally, WITHOUT the barrel, I think i would still only pay around 500 if in good condition, maybe more for great.

Hasn't the wingmaster just recently gone up in price id say in the last year or so? It seems to me few years ago you could buy one new for 600-650. So if its more than a year or two old, why should someone pay the same price as when it was new? I know price is dictated by what people are willing to pay, but doesnt anyone think that some of the prices on EE are a little high for used firearms? I know we all have a passion about guns here on this server, but I think our gunlust is driving up the prices. Some Nutz will pay more cause they just want it that bad.

Maybe I just want something for nothing. Maybe im just mad that my motorcycle I bought in 05 is worth less than half I payed for it new. I really dont wanna start any heated conflicts, so let me know what you think? I myself would love to pick up a 3" wingmaster in the near future. Infact that is on "the List" but for 600-650 used, I might just pick up new. If Ellwood has one for $729, to pay $650 used, It would have to be damn near brand new, or i'd have to be smokin something REALLY good.

Apparently

1)The deer barrel is not rifled. That's fine for me, but not for most people.

2). The choke is "fixed", so I assume it's full.

Those are both negative marks, but still, it's a 3" Wingmaster, so it's gotta be worth something.

I see there's one on the EE in pretty much the same configuration and it's at $450, sooooooooooo . . . . .
