I tried doing a search, but came up empty.

Does anyone have any suggestions where to get Victorian era clothing and dry goods from a Canadian source? I've looked through most of the American sites and I find it is a P.I.T.A. to deal with them on one level or another.

Also in the need of a source of holsters and gunbelts.

I thought i saw something on the COURTNEY cowboy action site on here. there in B.C cant remember the tread off hand or if the clothing was Canadian

I just received an order for a bunch of new CAS duds from the Gentleman's Emporium web site. If I remember correctly it could have been you who sent me the link around Xmas time. I'll be well dressed for our SAWWS display at the Saskatoon gun show.:D:D I ordered on Jan 11 or 12Th and they were at the post office this past Friday. This was by far the easiest most hassle free order I've placed.

Hi Chuck.

Yeah, that was me that sent you guys the link. I'd been eyeballing the Gentlemen's Emporium for a while now. Problem is now, my Russian I had ordered through Del came in, and I bought a spotting scope for BPCR silhouette, so that blew my budget for the next while.

I guess I might give Gentlemen's Emporium a call next month then.

Bushwacker Western Wear....in BC. Have purchased stuff from them and the quality is great. Another very good spot, although in the US is Wild West Mercantile. They have a sale on right now.

Del just called to tell me the 73 I ordered is in, so now it's just have the shortstroke kit installed and I'll be tapped for a while as well. :(:(Kind of sucks with a couple gun shows coming up. Oh well I'll be dressed fancy with a fancy new rifle.:D:D

After buying a IGA SxS last Octobre and a Rossi 92 in December and I just sent the last payment on my gun rig. I still need to buy 2 Vaqueros. For now it'll be levi's and a modern Cowboy hat I got on a bussiness trip in Calgary 2 years ago. I already own 3 pairs of cowboy boots 2 pair are dress boots the other pair are perfect for playing cowboy. I started from scratch as far as guns. I'm just taking the restricted weapons safety course this weekend in order to upgrade my PAL, wish me luck. I'll hopefully be able to save up enough so I can buy the SA's by April or May we'll see... :dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

Cagunman your right to focus on the guns first and I have to say I think Rugers are the best (other opinions may vary). I have 5 different pairs of new and old model Vaqueros. This is the first set of CAS clothes that I haven't purchased at value village one article at a time, a shirt here, a vest there. I'm sure you get the picture. No matter how sharp the clothes are you will look kind of silly throwing bullets and yelling bang.

You are sooo right Chuck! The trick is yelling bang and then clang! Of course you can't miss this way!
But seriously there's just me a 1 other pard that want to play Cowboy Action Shooting out here the nearest club is about 2 hours away. I guess we'll just practice and I wager that a few other folks are gonna get a kick out of it. Hell you never know I just might be starting a trend out here. Once we have our guns it'll be steel targets, the noise will draw a crowd I hope.:shotgun:

Well if you can throw them fast enough, and with enough accuracy to knock the plates over, I'm not going to say anything.

And you won't be accused of using wimp loads either.

Cagunman once you start shooting CAS it just naturally draws a crowd and it won't take long for number 3 to pick it up.

Did I tell you it I waited probably ten years or more to find you guys to shoot with?

And you found us at the very first shoot we put on in Saskatoon.:D See it didn't take long once we started banging and clanging or maybe it was gunshowing in North battleford that's fun to. Getting all dressed up and having folks stop to check us out, going home broke but with way more neat stuff. Just gota love this CAS stuff.:D:D:D

Also in the need of a source of holsters and gunbelts.

I bought mine from G&J Leather in the US. I found them on the SASS website. They have a great web site with lots of pics of rigs they did in the past. I had them do a little work and they customized one for me. Great people to work with, price is average. I should have it in the next week or so I'll post a pic when I have it.
In the meantime here is the link to there site.

So I have spent some money lately getting together the guns for this. I still have a ways to go and no more cash:(

I was wondering about holsters for rugers. Is a cross draw allowed in CAS?

I can't get together the cash for a custom setup so I was looking at Cabelas leather. I have participated in other shooting disciplines and have never had the best gear but I had a great time anyway. I don't shoot well even with the best gear so I don't care how I look. Just want to have enough gear to get going.

Is a cross draw allowed in CAS?

Yes they are legal but when drawing your revolver you must turn your body (or "do the dance") so the muzzle doesn't break the 170 rule and sweep anyone before it's pointed down range. My wife shoots a cross draw rig simply because when we started out she was able to pick up a rig with a strong side holster and then added a cross draw. She got used to it so when she purchased a better set of holsters she went with the cross draw again.
