1911's Pics Thread

I guess I have been lazy and not posted anything here.

Here are most of the family

I didn't really like 1911's a couple of years ago but after several hours looking through this thread... I decided to join the club. Really satisfied with Dlask's customer service.

Sorry for the crappy pics, when I get my new grips I'll do a proper update ;)

Have to ask, what's that quote on the slide. Google brought up nothing :(

I totally agree,

But the fact remains that only 500 of these were ever made. The tribute units will pay homage to the originals with the greatest respect possible.

We only wanted to do this because the chances of ever seeing a real Singer in Canada is 0%.

I promise to keep eveyone updated and my partner in this is promising to join this site as a dealer once we launch his new website.
I hate to admit this.. back in the early 80's I bought a Singer, Remington and a Colt, all were m1911a1 and I paid $150 each. After a few months, I said to my self WTF... Singer.. they make sewing machine ( I didn't know better back then) lol so I sold the Singer and Remington for what I paid:( and yes I'm kicking my self

Colt Repro 1918

Today I got to go pick up my new Colt reproduction WWI '1918' at my local toy store. It has a beautiful black finish to it accented by the grain direction of the steel. I thought I would never get a hold of one, but here it is!
