Ok.....here are a couple rough shots...

I like it a lot!

Thanks guys....the Daniel Defense mount is apparently around $100 bones new, but I snagged this one for a smokin deal of $40 shipped in the EE :)

taking a closer look is that yours armedsask?
Yup, that would be mine after bead blasting before painting.

To my knowledge, two AR180B's have the continuous top rail (POF Predator system). Both were done by me. One is mine, the other was done for another guy. I believe it has since changed hands. The ACOG is one of the Chinese knock offs I sold long ago. I don't think it co-witnesses, pretty sure it was lower 3rd. Both were on there just for storage reasons.

Hey Armedsask....you seem to be the resident expert on these rifles....do you know if something like this will work on the 180b?

Is armalite still making the AR-180B?
At the moment, it is discontinued, though there are hints from Armalite that they are working on improving the design to hopefully relaunch it.
Do any stores have them in stock?
As far as I know, there are no stores with new ones in stock, so your best bet would be putting up a want ad in the EE.
How much are they going for now?
They seem to be going for between $1200-1500 on average for a used one.

I brought home a brand new AR-180b today that i had purchased 2 years ago. After i payed for it i didnt have a free weekend in almost a year and a half before i could fit the course into my schedule. Finally received my RPAL/PAL in the mail today so the new guns start coming home.Have 4 restricted's that are awaiting ATT's and now the fun begins.
Mounted a Burris fullfieldII 3X9X40 on her and a couple of RRA 10 round mags and will look into a MI forend in the next few days.We have a few sections of land that seem to have become a coyote haven so i have a good idea what ill be doing this weekend.
I have a hard time seeing me at work tomorrow.

This is great news! Finally some confirmation that they are going to re-introduce it, instead of just a "We're looking into it".:D

+1 ~ I for one will be watching for an aluminum lower....I have heard that the polymer lower "hinge" section has been this rifles achiles heel....if it breaks, you are hooped...an aluminum lower would definitely beef that up :dancingbanana:

Hey Westjet...Congrat's on finally being able to bring your new toys home....have fun....we want a full report with pics!!

Exactly. Though I've never had any problems with mine, I'd still like to have an aluminium lower. I wonder if Wolverine could bring in just the stripped lowers, once they are in production?

any lower that has cracked has been replaced no questions asked....great service from armalite on that issue makes it a non-issue really

that said i would be game for an alum lower that will accept standard ar grips...mmmmmmmm :dancingbanana:
