6.5mm caliber (6.5x55 cartridge)

The only complaint I have about the 6.5X55 is I really don't ''need'' another hunting rifle, this one does the job very efficiently
Yep X2.
Built one from Tradex parts. Total cost around around $200. Hunts everything from Coyotes to Moose where I live. No I don't really need another hunting rifle, but I have them anyway.

K...thanks for the help guys.....
Greg, I've got to get a scope mounted before I take it out. I robbed it off the 6.5 to hang on one of my .22s

No problem, I have a few already loaded from shooting in my 6.5, we'll load another 20 rounds or so. I'm going to Spruce next weekend, wanna come?

I have to work 9 to 9 on Saturday, and the Daytona 500 is sunday.

We could try for the following weekend?

The swede 6.5x55 doesn't seem picky about ammunition either-I got 10 boxes of Century ammunition years ago and it shoots fine, and nothing I hit with it went far-maybe 20 yards at best. The only complaint I have about the 6.5X55 is I really don't ''need'' another hunting rifle, this one does the job very efficiently

Don't throw those century casings out they seem to last for a long time.I have seen newer casings last a fraction as long and they get too many wear marks. If you don't reload I''ll gladly take them off your hands.

Nice rifle and nice pix lejarretnoir. Right too about not needing another rifle but having em anyway, and hopefully having other 6.5x55s too. I don't do so well with bullets less than 120gr in the Swede mauser. Must be the 7 1/2" twist. Got a Ruger 77 Mk II that's more accurate with the lighter bullets.
