Any interest? Savage "Bush Carbine"

I'm definitely in for one of the Savages with a 18.5" free floated barrel that is drilled an tapped for scope mounts, synthetic stock & an externally adjustable trigger.
A detachable magazine would be a bonus as would stainless steel.
I already own one of the "old" Remington Model 7 rifles in .308 Win. with a 18.5" barrel & a Schnabel forend & love it.
A 16" scout rifle would be nice.
I don't seem to be able to modify pictures tonight.....anyone care to chop 4 inches of this one?
The above pictured rifle with a shorter stock & "snout".........I like it !!.......just barely over the 26" legal minimum.
As soon as they show up on the CanAm website I'll be ordering one.
Take-down capability would be great so the gun can be inconspicuously stowed in a ordinary sized pack sack for transport on an ATV or bush plane.

We are looking to do a custom run of Savage rifles in 308 with 18.5" barrels.
Which is of more interest:
Stevens 200 w/"Tenifer" finish ~$399
Savage 11FCNS with detach mag and accutrigger w/"Tenifer" finish ~$599
These will be completely factory guns.
Any other suggestions for options are welcome

I asked for the lefty somewhere but I can't find it. CanAm, any word yet?
Really, I can't see it being much of an issue for Savage to toss in a couple extra lefty-actions into the mix, but what do I know, I'm just a regular schmuck.

When can we expect this rifle in 16" or 18.5" configuration on the CanAm website??
I'm exceedingly pleased with the DA Grizzly & the DA Outlaw that I have received from CanAm.
The Grizz is the fastest pointing deer hunting shotgun that I've ever held in my hands & hasn't malfunctioned once.........great for the "shotgun only" areas of Central & Southern Ontario.
This Savage rifle looks like it might be an equally effective "fast target acquisition" firearm for thick brush deer/moose hunting...........the kind of alder & switch dodging gun the "dogs" (the young "pushers" that drive deer to stands & ground blinds for us old guys) like to carry for the big, smart ole bucks that like to outflank & double back behind the line of "dogs".
I picked up 2 "grand-dad" bucks (a 10 pointer & a 12 pointer over the past decade that tried to employ that tactic.......UNSUCCESSFULLY !). I just walked quietly about 1/4 mile behind the line of pushers & shot each of the 2 deer just when they were just figuring that they had outsmarted us.
Don't need another cheap "noise maker"/"plinker"........I've got a couple of "junker" SKS that fill that particular niche.
Something that will actually shoot respectable groups with typical Savage accuracy for hunting in thick brush conditions would be great.

Anybody can have that with any rifle they want to have chopped......16"/16.5" is something we can't get, except for a factory offering, like the Ruger!!!!!!!!

On second thought........
And from past personal experience I'd much rather have a Savage than a Ruger.
