My first Precision Rifle take a look at my build let me know your thoughts

OMG you guys a way to cool lol your s**t does stink just so you know

Sorry bud, I wasn't trying to come across as a rifle snob or precision rifle snob but usually when someone talks about a rifle build they have done more that just mount a scope and screw a bipod under a factory rifle:redface:

Your next post will likely be titled something like this, "how can I make this rifle shoot better groups":)

So before you even start get your rifle bedded, have the factory trigger worked on and shoot good quality ammo.

Have fun with your rifle and take Obtuned up on his offer about the Introductory Clinic, you will likely learn more there in one day than spending a month reading CGN and running back and forth to the range.

Just for all those remarks to the OP, I will not be posting my Savage package gun which I have changed the scope and rings on.

Actually I've changed the rings twice on this build.

Now don't you wish you had behaved nicely.

OP, nice rifle, post some groups.

EDIT: The OP has taken down his post. I know this is the precision forum but if everyone without a minimum of a $2000 rifle is put off posting here this forum will be pretty quiete in my opinion. And less people will gravitate to real precision which is likely the aim of most posting here anyways. I feel bad for the OP.

You don't need a 2000 rifle to post in here. But don't go saying you built something when all you did was mount a scope and a bipod. That's like saying you built a car by putting on a steering wheel cover and an air freshener.

Usually "build" means screwing on a barrel, getting a T&T job, blueprinting the action, bedding, etc.

I think what the OP meant was "I got myself a nice boomstick." :D

C'mon BCViking - put your pics up again, I didn't get to see your new baby!

Have you had her out to the range yet?

:)
Don't be discouraged. Lets see some pics, and a range report please.
Hopefully the precision form isn't going the way of the action shooting sports form sh!t storm.

You guys are rude. Its no wonder not many newbies want to show up to a F-class match when they get heckled on the internet from some clowns that think they have the bigger ####. And think that your a nobody until you post pictures of an uber expensive gun. We all have to start somewhere, so he used the word "build"... big deal.

I get the feeling he's not posting here anymore. I was pretty excited when I shot my first rifle. He's probably quite thrilled he has a sick gun sitting on his coffee table. I know that's where mine lives sometimes.

Bush Man, I read all the posts and Bcviking was the first rude person.

Classic case of misreading posters intentions. Internet forums and emails are common places for this.
