I bought one of these kits a couple of years back after a broadhead mishap almost put an end to my Moose camp.
I recently had a chance to use it as I carry it in my first aid kit.
I cut my hand with hatchet out at ice shack(about an hour from town).
I used disinfectant swab and put 3 staples in a inch long fairly deep cut....I think I could see bone.
Staples were easy to put in and held great. When I got back to town I didn't even bother with trip to hospital as I had a tetanus booster last year.
This is a must have for any first aid kit.
The only draw back is it seems to be designed more for wounds where there is alot of meat or flesh. When your close to bone it will leave some of the staple sticking up, but if you put a bandage over it they will lay flat.
