maybe i made a mistake when i bought my EOTech 511.A65,maybe i should buy a AIMPOINT Compml3 instead?? I know the Aimpoint is more expensive but a lot of shooter told me i'm better to go with the Ml3...
do we have to shoot both eyes open with the Aimpoint??

what you guys thinking about it?????

The aimpoint is a great sight... but so is the eotech... you will find people on both sides who will scream "The Field of view is terrible with aimpoint!" and people who will scream "battery life is terrible with EOs!"

Since your chosen models do not have NV I assume you are not using it for MIL/LE, so really if its a range piece pick whichever makes you feel warm and fuzzy when you look at the reticle. The Eotech vs. Aimpoint debate will go on forever, but you should pick which one YOU LIKE MOST given your uses, not what people tell you online.

And yes aimpoints are both eyes open.

FYI the EO may have issues with battery connect, and battery life, but as I say if its a range piece dont worry too much. Also weight is more than say... an aimpoint H-1/T-1.

Aimpoint and EO are the Ford and Chevy of the red dot world. They're both great optics.

As already mentioned, just shoot the thing.

I've been loving my Aimpoint recently....and yes, I think its better to shoot with both eyes open, more awareness, depth percetion, field of view, etc.

Could you elaborate more on this Reap... Im using the Eo and I find the quality of materials, glass, weight and price to be exceptional.

Eo Clones?

Attention - Counterfeit Alert

L-3 EOTech has become aware of several counterfeit offerings of the HWS and magnifier product line. Produced in China and Korea, and distributed throughout the US, these counterfeit products are red-dot sights built to look exactly like a Holographic Weapon Sight on the outside. Often, the appearance between the genuine EOTech products and the counterfeits is nearly indiscernible, including replications of registered trademarks.

These counterfeit items are often marketed towards recreational Air-soft use and WILL NOT:

Withstand recoil or shock consistent with small to medium weaponry
Consistently hold or maintain battle zero
Withstand drop tests or excessive shock
Offer any waterproof protection
Offer the advantages provided by true holographic technology
Offer dependable, reliable performance for any military, LE or competitive real weapon application

Eotechs are not nearly as durable. Their battery life is also a fraction of the Aimpoint's. Plus they use Chinese glass.

I like both...flavor of the day and all. I run Eotechs on my 870's and they run great even after slug-days at the range and in the bush.

Gonna pic up a Micro T1 soon as well. All good stuff.

no any problems with my EOTech and it's real one manufactured in december 2009 bought at the C.R.A.F.M. so no doubt about the counterfeits...

just wondering what's the best between these 2 brands
