Shotgun forum split???

If we can't learn to "play nice" amongst ourselves, how are we ever going to learn to band together to fight our common enemy? I think it would be a slippery slope if we start splitting up forums every time someone is unhappy with the way another person uses their own personal property.
I voted to keep them together simply to help us all realize that we are in this together, regardless of what we deem is an "appropriate" firearm.

FYI-this has nothing to do with"effective categorization of interest specific products/topics"
it's about infighting amongst the shotgun crowd...
my point was that rather than getting along everyone gets their own corner of the playground...

The "infighting" that you speak of is also not foreign to other forums - example: Hunting & Sporting Arms/Milsurp/Hunting etc ..... detracts nothing from there, so to speak.
I admire your sense on the importance of cohesiveness, however, it is not always possible to prevent collision courses in terms of difference in opinions be it within a single or numerous sub forums.
Via partition, what we could possibly accomplish is to narrow down the categories, and in the process, simultaneously assist to reduce the "catalysts" in many such conflicts.

im not worried: i cant imagine you staying out of the tactical forum for very long - just like you cant seem to keep from chiming in every tactical/norinco/outlaw/grizzly/etc thread with your Fudd opinion despite the fact that youve never owned any of the guns in question.
Instead of splitting the forum, why not just ban the ones who constantly attack shotguns they don't "approve of"

It's not always the shotguns themselves that provoke adversity. Sometimes it is the uninformed posts that go along with them.

x2, I voted to split simply because it MAY keep some fudds out of the tacticool area. Some will go looking for trouble because they have nothing better to do or think their opinion matters and that's where splitting the forums isn't a viable solution. Bring out the ban hammer for those guys. How about banning s**tdisturber fudds from the tacticool threads if they wander over just to start s**t or bash others choices? Same goes the other way.
Personally I think a flashlight, bayo, extended mag tube to "shoot more slugs faster", red dot etc. on a scattergun is pointless ... but who am I to laugh at/insult someone if that's what they like. The only reason it's pointless is because it doesn't suit MY applications, maybe for some it does and who am I to tell someone what they should be doing with their guns?
I like guns dammit ... all of 'em.

EDIT: Yes claybuster I said Fudd. And I also think the majority of the issue has stemmed from them. That said ... I am a Fudd to a certain extent. Just not a crabby old guy that may have voted for Turdeau way back when

1. quote me in context like above, instead of just snipping out what you think is convenient.
2. pointing out that someone has a long history of trolling and Fudd posts in tactical/norinco/short shotgun threads despite repeatedly stating that he has no interest/use for the guns in question, in a thread on this particular topic, is a far cry from:
...but i would expect no less from you than to jump to the defense of your Fudd-buddy. this is why we need a forum where hopefully you two and your ilk will stay, and people can actually start a thread about tactical/norinco/short shotguns without you Fudds sh*tting all over it.
