Bedding is used to provide a perfect mating surface between the two parts. There is no way that two disparate parts mass produced by two different companies in two different parts of the world will fit together with 100% precision. You can scream and shout that the sun is blue and agree with the people who agree with you (possibly the silliest argument I have heard in a long time) but that doesn't make it true.
I too have several rifles with aluminum bedding blocks and what you will notice when you take them apart is that there are wear or rub marks on the bedding block where the action was touching it and those marks are almost always quite narrow showing that the contact surface between the action and stock is very small.
ALL stocks need to be bedded, wether you agree or not. There is simply no other way to achieve 100% contact to minimize stresses imparted into the action. To shout your opposition only shows you don't understand the facts. It is at these times it would be best to keep quiet so people may only assume you are a fool rather than your opening your mouth and erasing all doubt.
An AI rifle is bonded to the aluminum chassis stock with glue. That IS bedding, just without the release compound and the ability to take the thing apart.
