IPSC @ Barrie and No Provincials

It is a shame that IPSC is not willing to give in, Barrie has always put on top level provincial match which has not been outdone by too many clubs in the area. Who cares if we have two range masters as long as the shooters are provided with the good course of fire. If IPSC Ontario feels that these people are incompetent they should do all the work for the match and stop giving orders on what to do, how to do it,, when did it. It is the club that has to do all the work in advance which relies on club members to help. We have to remember that IPSC is not the only discipline in the club and IPSC Ontario should be happy when any club donates the facility for the match. This is truly a personality clash with IPSC executives and should have never been allowed to get this far, as usual I guess no one has any backbone on this board. The two members in question have more likely done more for ISPC in building up the shooting sports than anyone else.

Well said.

This whole thing really bites.........hopefully it can be resolved in a "friendly" manner without hurting IPSC Ontario. Somehow I doubt it.

In the meantime.....money is at par......Area 7 is open, Firecracker is on, Area 8, Western Pa.........the list goes on......Sorry, but I just wanna shoot and have some fun with other shooters. All this politics is bringing down our organization.

If this continues, you may see some USPSA matches in Ontario.......hint, hint, maybe in the fall, hint, hint........:nest:

I feel badly for John, Phil, and Kent. Don't know all the background (yet), but I do know that these people (and others) donate a ton of their free time to the sport. Yes, the Board does as well. This is why this matter should be cleared up ASAP to hope that people like this will continue to help AGAIN in the future.

First the shotgun brew ha ha now this curfufle, an option of a less PC more shooter friendly organization [ afore mentioned several times] could begin to gain steam unless people perform a rectal crainiumectomy post haste.

There may be a few bumps along the way...but I still think IPSC Ontario is very shooter friendly.

Aha lets make it really shooter friendly and get this Barrie level 3 provincial on the road it all seems silly to me ,just get all this bs out the way ;););)

Wow, that sounds like it could hurt!!! Is it covered by OHIP???

Does the patient have to volunteer??:kickInTheNuts:

I don't think surgery is the remedy yet........... I am sure it is far from that.

Reminds me of another quote: "I would rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy". :runaway:

Speaking of puking at matches though, I believe IPSIK has been spotted once or twice as well.............

I have it on good authority (a member 0f the 1997 BOD)that the so called 1996 IPSC Ontario constitution which was written by bud was never in fact ratified by the BOD. If this is true we have been operating without an actual constitution since 1996.

If anyone believes this is not correct please post the minutes of the meeting at which the ratification took place.

I thought that was just about "public knowledge" anyway.;)

You are correct.

That's right. BTW, Area 5 is at the same time as Frontenac Level 3 match and it is always been like that forcing number of shooters to skip this match. Would be a real shame to have Ontario provincials at this date.

Well if this individual had any first hand knowledge of it...and did nothing about it...in 1997...they have zero credibility.

John,
I have no hard feelings toward anyone on this. (I don't like airing dirty laundry for all to see)Hopefully cooler heads prevail...and it all works out.

Here is an idea.........

if one does not want dirty laundry.

Might I suggest NOT s**tTING THRE F'ING BED!!

Then there will be no dirty laundry to air.

This whole episode is on the one hand SO F'ING STUPID as to be incredible.

On the other hand it puts a huge spotlight that on the fact that we have some very large problems in our group that must be addressed.

I will be seeking direction form the membership of EESA as to what position they want me to take on this matter.
