Well I've been working the grip safety down to where I'm almost happy with it. Abit more "finishing/shaping" left to do on the "spur" and I'll call it good for that. I was happy there was just enough "meat" left on the frame ears to shape them almost exactly like a factory commander....Norinco doesn't grind much off when they fit the beavertails on like some replacements require.
And the Post Lady delivered the last of my parts today...a complete Colt spring kit, with a Factory 18 lb Commander recoil spring, and a heavier firing pin spring(just because they say it's safer?) Can't hurt I guess...
So I got those in and man it makes a huge difference....The existing main spring was reduced, as was the recoil spring. I won't be shooting any "light" loads through this one so I went back to the Factory Colt spring specs........reliability is my ultimate goal with this one.
Here it is back together with new springs installed (old tired springs pictured)
So that's pretty much it...I still have to fine tune the trigger abit more, finish polishing the guts and clean up & dehorn abit more on the outside to prep for the Parkerising........that should be a learning experince !
Might hit the range first...just to see if she's gonna be a keeper or not

If it shoots I might just spring for a Prof blue job.........
