If the liberals get back in or the rcmp keeps getting away with their bs any gun could be restricted or prohibited overnight basically and there is plenty of evidence of that. They are still non-restricted.

Someone else will have to help you with 6.8 groups.

Will any caliber upper fit on any rifle or do you have to buy a 7.62 and put the smaller calibers on after.

I'd like to get a rifle in 5.56 and later add a 7.62.

There aren't different uppers for XCR. All you have to change is the barrel, bolt and shell deflector.

I don't think any conventional AR-15 upper will fit on this....I could be wrong. To change calibre, you buy the calibre conversion kit from Wolverine.

I've never tried to swap uppers, so if i'm wrong, i'm certain i'll be corrected asap.

hes talking about xcr only, not ar-15.

You are right AR upper won't work on an XCR lower. The conversion kits are just a barrel, bolt and shell deflector.

You didn't understand my question. I'll ask a different way now that I know that you don't change the entire upper.

Can any barrel fit into an XCR or do you have to buy the larger calibre first?

I'd like to get one in 5.56 and add 7.62 later. This is as plain as I can get... If I buy a 5.56 now will I be able to fit a 7.62 later or do I have to get the 7.62 rifle and buy the 5.56 items later.

It doesn't matter what caliber you start with. The conversion kits work on any and every XCR-L. Except the XCR-M (not available yet and a whole different gun) to make sure there is no confusion.

Yes. If you buy a 5.56 now, you WILL be able to convert to 7.62x39 later.

or

If you buy a 7.62x39 now, you WILL be able to convert to 5.56 later.

You can only convert with the Conversion Kits, made by Robinson. (Imported by Wolverine)

Just to clarify a bit, XCR-L will convert to 5.56X45, 6.8 SPC and 7.62x39, it will not accept 7.62x51 that is yet to be released.

7.62X51 (308 nato)

Simple answer no...

Right now there is no conversion for that caliber and it is being worked on as the XCR-M

7.62X39 Russian

Yes.. Buy them in whichever order you want.. the gun in 556 and then the conversion in 7.62X39 or the gun in 7.62X39 and then a 5.56 conversion..

Thank you very much. I realize that these do not come in 7.62 x 51.

I really like the idea of a non restricted rifle in both 5.56 and 7.62 x 39. Now the hard part is finding a way to be able to afford one. Anybody with surplus income addopting lately???????

is the 10.5" barrel in .223 available in Canada. What gas setting would be used for this..(ie: one step up for gas setting?)
