Hmm, wonder if anyone will import any... I don't know what the price conversion is, but i'm sure there'd have to be a market for them. Looks like everything is newly-made, receiver included. I'd buy one if i had some cash :D

Do want.

"...I'd buy one if..." Ever held a BAR? Friggin' things weigh 20 plus pounds.
Almost bought a real BAR, long ago. $500Cdn. Had the money but had just been laid off. Been crying ever since.

Can't be much worse than my M53 is!
Offtopic note, almost done the receiver, should be ready to submit it for approval in a month :D!

I'd buy it solely for collecting purposes, i just hope that it is pretty close specifications wise...

added: Thanks Merllin for posting the page, didnt realize it was a picture!

Since they don't have pics yet, I'm a little leery.

Interesting that so much good repro stuff is coming out of the small German companies. What is the situation that causes this? Centralised market, high demand, available machinery, tolerant laws?

2899 euros = C$3954.
Then you have to ship and import it.
Assuming that it is approved by the RCMP.

I shot an Ohio Ord. BAR a few years ago...what a sweet shooting gun...virtually no felt recoil, very accurate. That same day I shot a real 1918a1 BAR(Note, not the two speed full auto). Again there was virtually no felt recoil and full auto was very controllable. Was able to put three round bursts on a 18X24 steel plate at 80 yards standing offhand with no effort. Yeah they are heavy if you are used to an AR-15, but they are a real man's gun by all description.
Cheers

I passed along the info to the RCMP a short time ago to get a decision on how they would classify these. By all rights they should be non restricted, but some weird crap comes out of Ottawa at times.
If the feds DO opt to do the right thing we will be importing some of these BAR copies.

I'm glad a dealer has taken the initiative to attempt to import these (well starting with rcmp approval anyways)! I guess it's just the waiting game from here on, with fingers crossed, hopefully these pull through! :D

<----

I already have a non-restricted 1919A4. I would love a non-restricted BAR 1918.

Importers, make it happen!! I can sell off the majority of my safes!!

(Of course I can't do a great purge until they are actually in country.)

I've been wondering about this too. Aslo I know theres seperate capacities for people in DE 2 for regular people, 10 for target shooters and 30 for collectors IIRC.
