I've always wanted to attempt to try and import one of the Ohio Ordinance ones. I'm tempted to buy two, one to shoot and one as a safe queen.

I know for a fact that there's at least one legally imported in Canada. I was at Al Simmon's when it showed up. Manhandled it for a few min. Nice peice of kit. It was special order and ran $3500 irrc. That was 6 or 7 years ago.

Interesting that so much good repro stuff is coming out of the small German companies. What is the situation that causes this? Centralised market, high demand, available machinery, tolerant laws?

German ability to cut through BS has a lot to do with it. They are very efficient and still have some of the best engineering and design capability in the world.
