No....we have an idiot problem.
Their dog is outside howling and barking....an no one bothers to check on it until morning.
MORONS. Its sad their dog had to pay for their stupidity
Some people have hounds and beagles for hunting dogs, not family pets. Most never see the kitchen floor...In fact I know very few people that have beagles as house pets... I know guys that have 8 or 10 beagles, and they don't come in the house...
Not sayin its right, just the way it is...

What kind of idiot ties their dog outside? If your dog isn't proper company to have in the house, you shouldn't have a dog!
I would tie the owners up outside and let the yotes have at them... personally, for me cruelty to animals is right up there with child molestation.

im guessing you have never been around a beagle before? some of them will howl and bark for what seems like no reason at all. ive seen it time and time again where beagles will just go non stop. they love to bark and howl because there are bred for hunting and i believe its referred to as "baying"?
some areas are just beginning to see coyotes so i wouldnt be surprised if quite a few people living in the sticks arent aware of the threat. unfortunately, these people had to learn the hard way. but, stating that this was cruelty to animals is ridiculous. yotes could outrun a beagle so it wouldnt have mattered if the dog was tied up or not.
if the beagle wasnt tied up it would have been wandering around and likely would have got killed much sooner than it did....
. I wouldn't think twice about the possibility of jail for my child, but for my pet, not a chance.
hounds have to be tied or in a enclosure. Most are just tied. If you got up everytime your hounds started barking, you would not get much sleep. All my hounds have a dog house to get into so a coyote would have a tough time with them.

Funny, none of ours kept us awake all night with barking.
