Heckler and Koch G36C (more pics in 1st post)

Not gunna lie, its a really hot gun, congrats man! I'd love one of those.

I know the price is no doubt high but are we talking really high like 10K high? I wonder how much the price is inflated just because this is Canada. I used to live in WA state where I saw a PSG-1 for $9000. It was a nice piece too :)

arrrrghhh every time I see someone with g36 it pisses me off. How the heck you guys can afford that? and second how the heck did you even find it x.x

Nice rifle, I just envy you guys who can get it.

Price is high, but not unattainable. If you've got two Swiss Arms in your safe you've already put up more than enough dough for a G36C:

base price: 3400
tax: 510
optics: 1000
Total for one rifle: 5,010
total for two rifles: 10,020

Now, I'd take a Swiss Arms over a G36 any day of the week... but what do you do if you've already got your fair share of Swiss Arms?

Like I always say, that is a wicked gun. Truely that is the one gun (G36-C with the flattop) I would like to attain over any other.

Any plans on mounting optics, or is it going to stay naked?

Cool piece, but as noted, these units can be a little underwhelming when it actually come to firing them...
I am tending to go the route UW has stated...fewer units, but higher quality/price.
I had a UMP in 9MM...sold it after I had fired one in full auto while in the US.
Actually, it all comes down to personal preferences...what ever floats your boat!
If you have the dollars, you will always be able to partake of the better things in life.
In general, for women it shows in their clothes, shoes, jewelery, etc.
For guys, it's cars, motorcycles, boats, watches, knives,wine.......as well as firearms!

It is what it is, a mass produced polymer gun. How is the accuracy btw compared to say the swiss stuff?

I owned a G36P almost 7 years ago -I am not sure how precise the rifle is but the dual optics did not like to keep its zero.

I have only shot it at 200m. I will be more comfortable to say that the swiss arms is way more accurate out of the box.

I'd have to agree with the Swiss Arms comparisons in this thread so far. The Swiss Arms is a better rifle to shoot. But, the G36 is freaking light! It is also super-reliable.

I am planning to mount optics. I am partial to Eotechs. But, a trusted friend is trying hard to steer me towards an Aimpoint.

I actually have an Elcan Specter DR 1-4 on it right now, but I am not sure it is the right scope for this gun (makes it top heavy, and mitigates the overall lightness of the gun).

That's a really shallow way of looking at it. If you feel your life in enhanced by buying literally useless #### (and so-called luxury items are in essence, just useless ####) than I feel sorry for you and everything that you're missing out on.

As much as I like guns, they are no more than consumer gadgets for 99% of us.

I must be in the 1% then. I see my firearms as an investment.

Wow...you must be one of those guys who lives on nothing but gruel, wears sackcloth handmedowns with a Hefty trashbin liner when it rains, and walks everywhere because anything in excess of the bare necessities for existing is just a bunch of "useless s**t"!
I think I saw you the other day and I would have said "Hi", but you were already having an intense conversation with your invisible friend.....
Spare me, and everyone else around here, your reverse snobbery.....

Our political landscape is too volatile for guns being considered long-term investments.

Your investment can all of a sudden become a prohibited device and confiscated within one election.

That's ok, I was never looking for your approval. Go buy some SureFire flashlights and watches and then take pictures to show on a forum if that's what fulfills your man-child fantasies. People get caught up in this vacuous forum culture, it's sad.

Not sure why you are putting such a harsh on FoxBat's mellow but he was just stating the reality of the world. If you have more money you can afford the finer things in life and that is pretty obvious even to a two year old. It does not mean he is vacuous, venal, or shallow. Sometimes people with your attitude are poverty snobs, broke, jealous or a combination of the three. Don't be so quick to judge.

Let us all continue basking in the glow of UncleWalther's G36C purchase. A fine piece of firearm tail if I ever saw one. Well done.

What's more sad is that you feel the need to speak ill of those that are proud of their hobby.

Those that know me will know that it takes ALOT to anger me. But I am clearly angered here.

Go back to your hobbit hole and stay off this forum if you have nothing constructive to say. You are clearly trolling for attention - much like my three year old.

:feedTroll:

UncleWalther - I was shooting my SL8 today which you are quite familiar with and I must say that I was very happy with how it was shooting.

Same one that is here:
