Heckler and Koch G36C (more pics in 1st post)

UncleWalther - I was shooting my SL8 today which you are quite familiar with and I must say that I was very happy with how it was shooting.

Yep, that is a good gun. Believe me, the trigger on that gun is far lighter and smoother than what you'll get on a G36. The guy you bought that from is no slouch with a rifle.

Your tears are delicious.

That's ok, I was never looking for your approval. Go buy some SureFire flashlights and watches and then take pictures to show on a forum if that's what fulfills your man-child fantasies. People get caught up in this vacuous forum culture, it's sad.

Speaking of 'vacuous forum culture'...and just why are you here anyway?

Judging by his behaviour, I think he's here to try to make the lives of others bitter, angsty after he was banned from the airsoftcanada forums.

In other news, it royally sucks that in Canada for one to change the barrel length on the G36/SL8 series on must purchase an entirely new rifle, instead of just changing out the barrel & piston assembly as the firearm was designed to do. Although I realize that many people dislike the Hensoldt optics that come with the G36 series, to me it just doesn't look the same, especially on the longer barreled models.

Anyone know of any Canadian sources for the barrel wrench and trunion tool?

Guys keep it on topic,an infraction has been issued. This forum is not the place to #### on people. Its their money, they earned it so let them spend it how they want.

They're nice rifles. Especially enviable for their rarity.

Like with rare Scotch Whiskey, only a fool would think that the value of a dram relates to the actual production cost. Most often it costs what it costs simply because the average guy will never afford the opportunity to possess one of their own. Life is replete with such examples.

Unlike Scotch, that G36 is actually a great capital retention investment opportunity. You can shoot it all year long and sell it for what you paid for it of better; all without losing a single dime.

Good catch UW.

If you had a restricted class one I dont think it would matter if you put the 14.5" or 18.5" barrel on it. You have 30 days to notify the CFC of changes in barrel lengths.

Although I wouldn't want to have a G36c or K barrel If you had a non-restricted G36P or E or whatever! :O

Sweet looking stick Rob, never mind the haters or sour grape crowd. I recently acquired a Timberwolf with fine Euro optics and have similiar comments directed to me. Anyway would you mind posting a side by side photo with the really short CQB swiss. Thanks John

I've owned G36 C, K, and P models. They are all nice. But, I think the C is the best. My least favorite is the K - not as maneoverable as the C for close range, yet less accurate than the P, even at 100 yards.

Had it at the range this morning. Didn't have much time, but blasted off about 40 rounds at 25 yards. Light and easy to point. Gets hot fast, and the short forend requires you to hold it under the warm spot. Not a problem though, just an observation. I am heading out of town for a couple of weeks, but will do a back to back comparison with the SAN CQB when I get back.

SL-8 / G36 barrels come off just as easily , its just the tool is more expensive . Although the "reciever / chamber madrel " is recommended, you can actually do it without this tool by holding the barrel. The barrel guide pin holds the barrel extention sleeve from turning ( the part that the mandrel / bolt engages ). Because these rifles have steel barrel nut on steel extention sleeve, they never should be stuck / siezed, and therefore will not overstress this guide pin. Although spec is 66ft lbs for the barrel nut, I have found most are much less when taking them off

This is unlike ARs where often ( due to the galvanic action between steel and aluminum ) can be a mother to get off

Uncle Walther....love your new toy !!

It is not very difficult to reproduced the G36/SL8 barrel. if there is a big demand for such a product, Other manufacture will come forward and produced it.
