The Cantilever Mount,

All you need to know is that it holds zero, can be detached quickly and saves you the trouble of violating your gun with a drill.

Could you apply a nice radius on the lower part of that cantilevered rail?
I tend to like parts that do not look like saber blades at the finished stage and, besides, it will add to the part looks.
Well done, by the way! Do you project black anodization or baked-enamel?
PP.

This is just a first off so it was not sent for plating. The final product will be type III anodized.

As for the rad, the change had already been made

  1. Could this be a little closer to the rifle?
  2. Also what rail system are you using?
  3. How many rail possitions are there?
Great idea but personaly...
Would like to see the bottom of the rail to be the same level as the top of the rear cover.

1 - there is a half inch, the ADM mount im using is high and its almost perfect. Lowering the cant mount will make it to low

2 - the actual scope mount is an ADM quick release mount

3 - As many as you would like.

It lower then most of the side mount units, keep in mind my mount is high and can be swapped out for a low mount. look how high this mount is - http://img214.imageshack.us/i/img2998y.jpg/ , now consider that our system is working off an inline stock. Not to mention look how far back the scope is mounted............ to each his own i guess.

He means have you wacked yourself in the head with the scope while shooting it. It looks like it might be a problem with long eye relief scopes.

ahhhhhh, i just finished watching clash of the titans and feel it may have caused me to drop a few iq point.
No i have not whacked myself with the scope, and the scope can still be moved further ahead on the rail another 2".

A bit longer of a rail and you could probably do away with the cantilevered rings.

Any problem extending the rail further to just shy of the stripper clip guide?

Hehe, scope just looks way back is all. Guess it's not like there's much recoil to worry about though.:D

Out of curiosity, to mount off of one of your gen3 uppers, would you have to pull off the default rear iron sight or would it slip over? Additionally, any chance of pics?
It will slip right over, i will post pics later today

Very cool!

I am thinking the "long" version of this rail paired with the "gasblock-rail" will be the ultimate setup. Finally. :)

So, ETA on when these parts can be ordered?

They will be in the hands of dealers within two weeks. The railed barrel clamp is shipping to dealers this week
