Glock Trigger Question

I have never drank the kool aid previously, tried a G17 last year and did not like it at all, especially the trigger.

Today, one of the local IDPA guys let me shoot his G34 after we were done practicing some stages and it was vastly better than the G17 I tried previously. Enough so that I could see owning one some day.

It had an alternate connector installed and a lighter spring. My question is if all the Glock triggers are the same and if I could achieve that trigger feel and weight on a G17 with the same mods?

I hate the regular Glock triggers, however I own four Glocks. All have a 3.5lb connector and a NY trigger spring, really improves the trigger dramatically. Used this combo in IPSC for several years and liked the results.

It takes out all the creeks of the regular trigger.

I was very impressed with the 34, it handled and shot so much better than the 17 it wasn't even funny. It was so much better that I could justify owning one and I have never been a fan of any tupperware pistol.

No kidding, it is a HUGE improvement. I couldn't hit anything with the 17, but printed nice small groups with the 34, mostly due to that excellent trigger.

Good to know that it is a $30 trigger job, the only downside is I am going to have to buy another safe if I keep finding more guns I have to own.

I find the Glock 34/35 balance much better than 17/22 due to the longer slide and barrel.

The longer sight radius also helps.

When I get back from Hawaii, you can try my G17. It has the same Trigger work done to mine as Mark's.

Tune the Glock triggers first. When you shoot, take up the slack, Line up the sites & squeeze the last bit. Like staging a double action trigger.
