I purchased what was said to be a Russian 1951 SKS unreferbished unissued and unfired arm it has all matching numbers I have not fired it yet and there are no wear marks at all on this rifle, bolt is silver and it does look new. Here’s my problem the safety catch rotates stiffly to on and off ok but there is no click it is stiff but there is tension from just being tight as there is no safety spring in my trigger group I did not take the trigger group apart just took it out of the rifle for cleaning. On you tube there is a video which shows a spring and when the safety is engaged it clicks as there is spring tension and clicks when safety is disengaged. Mine came with no such safety spring. Can you help and can you supply me with one. I have notified the person who sold me this SKS and I know he has a good reputation and will probably remedy this problem for me, but just in case i need a plan B. It is item No. 43 in the pictured diagram. Has anyone else encountered this problem??
I appreciate your attention in this matter.
