Robarms XCR FAQ post

When I got my 7.62x39 conversion I ordered some extra mags. One of them would only load 4 rounds so I opened it up, cut a couple of turns off the spring at the bottom of the mag, and now it holds 5 rounds just fine. You might want to try that.

Is there a trick to pulling these mags apart I have two 6.8spc mags coming with my 6.8 conversion kit they should be here early next week?

If they are C-Mags like the 7.62, they will have a little lip hanging over the front of the mag on the bottom. Put a screwdriver blade under the lip and twist gently. The bottom plate should slide forward and then you just pull it off and the spring and follower will drop out.

WOW. i am really surprised at that. those are MAJOR problems. surprising that with that small of a company, those kind of quality control points were not caught! please keep us updated on what they say about it.

I would like to add that my XCR has been perfect...Shoots decent, couple fail to ejects when I was breaking it in........the last 1000 rounds have been flawless. What an excellent gun in every department....looks great to. When I go to the range people cant help but ask about it...When I tell them is my coyote rifle people cant belive its not restricted.

I dont expect the gun to be sub MOA after all it is an modern sport gun with only a 4x Trijicon ACOG ..but it will take out any coyote as far as the eye can see... I would like to get the 6.8spc barrel this year and maybe do some deer hunting or really reach out there when coyote hunting.

Another dumb question....I assume this rifle uses standard AR mags. I'm not up on black rifles but is there a 10 round mag that slips through the rule book somehow and is available for use?

Sponsors sell them. Shooting Edge, Canada Ammo, Questar, just to name a few.

Out of those three none have them advertised on their websites. Wolverine is the only one I know of so far and they don't have any in stock.

Canada Ammo is located in BC and Shooting Edge in AB. So that might also be a consideration in terms of shipping and taxes go.

My XCR has shot/functioned flawlessly,no issues there at all with .223 or 6.8. I did have a defective .223 barrel and did eventually receive a new barrel.

I can live with what I thought was a flawed asymmetrical upper/lower receiver at the rear, others have reported the same thing and RobArms claims this is how they engineered it,so I'm happy.;)

The XCR is non restricted, very ###y (to me) and is a great coyote gun,its a keeper as long as it stays non restricted!

Caliber Conversion barrel swap

I had the urge to do some handgun shooting today,I also took along my XCR setup up with the 6.8SPC and my brand new .223 conversion barrel, (warranty/defective/replacement).
I did a little back to back test as a few of us have wondered how a sighted in rifle will perform with a quick swap of the barrel/caliber conversion.Unfortunately I was limited to 40 yards and bench shooting, regardless it was fun!
The ShootnC stickers are 3" dia, the 6.8SPC ammo was Hornady 110gr HPBT/WC and the .223 was Winchester 55gr FMJ cheapo, both factory ammo.
