I'm looking to buy a top end rifle scope for target work and some long range hunting, price is no object, I'm looking at King Optics, Huskamaw, and Quigley, anyone have any real life experience with these?

Well Tooner, you obviously haven't been watching the Hunting Channel, between them they have chalked up alot of long range kills, but I'm looking for first hand experience with these.

Hope it helps:

Huskamaw do not appear to have a direct website. A little reading seems to suggest its an over priced marketing gimmick but best to form own opinion.

King Optics has been discussed extensively on CGN.
Not encouraging. I have never heard of the other two, either.
The three Farmboy mentionned are likely the gold standard.
Drop down one step from these three and there are quite a number of excellent scopes.

At my brief appearances at Bull Meadow and Homestead ranges, the optics most seen are: the three mentioned by Farmboy. As well as, Sightron, Leupold, some Bushnell Elite. (the high end models) That's all I can remember right now. Can't be too many more.

Oh the mockery! :D:D

Ben I suggest you buy all 3 of those brands and decide for yourself. $5000 should get you one of each. The King Optic has nice flutes though...:p

Isn't huskamaw the brand sold/made/promoted by one of the hunting show companies?

First time I heard of them was earlier today as part of a $6500 rifle package promoted on the hunting channel.

FWIW S&B always tops out my list. But i like IOR or Leupold for value

Hensoldt (Zeiss), Schmidt & Bender, Premier and Nightforce are all top of the line.

Be advised, the 6500 (top-of-the-line model) is basically a 4200 with a couple extra features, and tactical turrets.
