Top of the Line scopes

LOL

oh man...hook line and sinker. :)

I seen the same commercial and looked at the website for quigley ford, no mention about the optics quality construction etc. just goes on about the ballistics reticule to match your cartridge.

The only mention I heard about King optics is the fact that you can get them from Twister's gunshop in calgary

Premier, S&B, USO and Nightforce.

US Optics are definitely up there with S&B, Hensoldt, Premier and Nightforce, but they are notorious for not tracking well. There are many reports over on the Hide about top guys selling their USO for Nightforce.

IMO, owning a Nightforce and using a S&B, I don't see the value in the $1000 price jump to the S&B over the NF.
After shooting targets out to 1000 yds, the glass is definitely NOT worth the extra money.

Anyone that groups Bushnell in with the best scopes in the world needs a crash course on optical quality.

.

...bushnell. OMFG.

4200 and 6500, no other scope manufacturer can even come close to the same quality for the price. Recoil tested to the equivelant of 10,000 rds of 375 before passing QC to be shipped. You will pay double the price with no gains optically. Pretty hard to beat. I guess some scopes are like Harleys, you pay for the name and thats it. Harleys must be seeing hard times, one that was $32,000 three years ago is going for $19,000. Whats that tell you if their still in buisiness, they've been soaking people all along.

I am going to expand on my post where I mentioned bushnell scopes.
This choice is what I personally seen an F-class shooter on his rifle at a match.
For the most part, other shooters were very close mouthed about his own choice, as no-one wished to offend.
My own scope is a NF, and I have a Kowa spotting scope.
I wish not to scrimp on optics myself.

Cheers............

What's with all the seriousness !!

I want to know who has a Huskamaw on their cooper !! Who's taking pot shots at Deer with their Quigley ford scopes @ 700 yards !!

Tell me about warranty service on King Optics....not that it would ever be needed ;)

I've used probably half a dozen Elite scopes going back to when they were first marketed by Bausch & Lomb, all 3000 or 3200 series. The one problem I had was with a loose erector on 3x10x40 Compact, which, even though I bought it second hand (although you couldn't tell by looking at it) and told them so, Bushnell still repaired no charge.

Have had these scopes on 25.06, 30.06, and 300 WM, and the compact sits on my Marlin 30.30 very nicely.

IMHO, I think Bushnell Elite series are one the most underrated scopes on the market. And, frankly, having switched to a couple of Leupolds, VX-II and VX-III on two rifles, optically I don't think I gained a thing that a 4200 series wouldn't provide. And for the lower price tag I could have had the Rainguard feature to boot, which on a couple of occasions now would have been darn handy.

If I do any more switching, the next will be to a 6500 2.5x16x40 duplex.

I couldn't agree with you more!
I presently own USO, Premier and NF and used to own a Leupold MK IV. For the dollar value MY OPINION is that Nightforce is the best scope of the ones I have owned. I have never owned a S&B so can't comment on them however I can't see S&B or Hensholdt being worth the money they are asking when you can get a NF for considerably less(in some cases half!).
BTW No problems with my USO yet.

Several years ago I would have been first to agree - I strongly felt that owning expensive glass was ridiculous .... That was then. I most regularly use a Zeiss Diavari (Aluminum tube version of the steel tube Hensholdt) and an S&B on two F Class guns. Moving to another gun with brand XXS last week, I was constantly looking for the cleaning kit. No amount of cleaning helped.

Everyone has their own personal $ for value balance point. I have tried the higher end glass for the past two years, and I am unable to go back. To me twice the money is easily worth it. Each will have his/her own opinion - this is simply mine.

When it comes to optics I'm as picky as they come. Been through most of the top-end stuff......after many many thousands of dollars spent on optics, I now exclusively use Sightron's on all my rifles. Instead of owning one Nightforce or one S&B, I can now own 3 Sightron's for the same price that are just as good and in some cases better.

And as far as Bushnell goes, I think you might be impressed with there AO 4200 line-up. For the price, nothing comes close.

People really need to look into Sightron though, some insanely nice optics on their SIII and Big Sky line-ups.....up there with the best, at any price range....period

To date I've owned 8 Sightron's.....still have 4....love and loved them all.

.....but what do I know
