Yep it is world's cheapest. BUt I ain't crazy enough to go to a guy deciding between a Colt, Bushmaster, or a Swiss Arms, and tell him its the best lol.

Probably not...but if many of the world's top tactical shooters and trainers started saying, "the Norinco AR is the best option out there" then I'd probably have the sense to start listening.
The M&P is not a pistol for collectors, but it is a pistol for shooters. It is probably a better option than anything else on the list at the start of this thread.
Unless your goal is to own a shiny pistol that maybe sees a thousand rounds a year, in which case, no, it's not as good.

Yeah I never checked what caliber the 226 was, I assumed most of them were 9mm but obviously that isn't the case.
Their price on the Shadow sucks, but my dilemma is the following:
1) Buy a gun soon, use it for a couple months at TSE while I wait for my RPAL to come in the mail. They will store it for me and supervise me while I use it until my RPAL comes.
2) Wait until July or so, when my RPAL arrives, and buy something then.
So, I need to decide if the ~$75 I could save by buying the shadow elsewhere is better than not shooting for 2 months.
Until The Angels Fall: To answer your question, as for the M&P 9, my hands are significantly longer than the grips so I found it very uncomfortable to hold.

What grip insert did you have in? They do have an adjustable grip depth.
Maybe you should consider an M&P then.
Why? I am 6'5" with long fingers, and hate polymer guns. If it don't weigh 2.5lbs+ I don't want it. The only polymer gun I liked sort of, was my p07-duty but my wife was pretty bad with it due to the recoil. With my shadow she can shoot a 10 round group the size of a golf ball and if I want to keep buying guns (which I do) I will do everything in my power to keep her interested in the sport.
I guess it depends on your goals...if your goal is to own the best shooting tools, that's one thing...if you like shiny stuff, that's something else.
As far as I know there were no inserts, but the thickness of the grip wasn't the issue (I assume that's what you mean by depth?), it was actually the length of my fist. When holding the pistol, the bottom of my fist extends past the bottom of the grip and I found it very uncomfortable.
I actually picked up a membership recently so I don't pay the $40 each time but until I get my PAL I am forced to pay the outrageous prices for ammo, even after the 20% members discount.

Ah, no, depth is the length of the grip front to back, which is adjustable...
height of the grip is more of a permanent thing so I guess that's out!
On the plus side, with shiny guns, you can use 'scrubbin' bubbles on your bathroom AND guns! win-win situation if I ever saw one!
I have one shiny gun. Actually its matte silver. Out of 7. If you like cheap stuff that's awesome. Kia makes a good value for the money car. I drive a Lexus. Every $500-599 pistol I've tried felt Fisher-Price to me, believe me, I have a wife, 2 kids and a mortgage, I wouldn't spend the money unless I think its worth it, and certainly not because "its shiny" which they aren't.
Where do you typically buy your ammo? I keep hearing people talk about 50 9mm rounds for $12.50 when bought by the thousand. TSE charges $25 for 50 rounds, or $20 if your a member.
$33 for 20...glad I am not looking at a .45 haha!

Reload at my shooting club are 50 for 13$.Bran new Blazer brass is 50 for 15$.Buy your ammo else where... your local Gunstore probably have it for cheaper.
