Does the charging handle smack your support hand only if you manually lock the bolt back? It's non-reciprocating, so this wouldn't happen when the bolt locks on an empty mag, correct?

If you want to shoot it like an AR, this happens during a reload.
FN - despite the marketing hype, the Mk16S is made in Belgium, they ship them to FNMI in SC and they add US made furniture, strip the thumbhole stock and the other stupidity, and ship it back to FN H, to be re-used on subsequent shipments.
The ACR has a few things going for it already:
- Fixed stock
- uses fairly modified AR barrels (able to get/make .223 chamberings)
You would need to get something like a muzzle brake or a plain non-threaded barrel....
They are gonna be very pricey though....
Negative. They switched over to a different system that has to be turned from a blank. It will not accept modified ar15 barrels.
