And it is usually noted that these so proofed 1911's also have a very tiny "JJ" [double J's] stamped in the frame in the upper area above the trigger guard.

(sorry for hijacking your thread Mike, I see some stampings on the tigger guard of your gun, same as below?))
I cannot seem to find the "JJ" stamp (there are some stamps on the trigger guard itself), but there is a single "J" stamped on the barrel
You will always get that $100 back plus more by having that letter.
