I think back to when I was new into this sport, which is about 25 years ago now (How the frick did I get so old???).
I can't even remember what I wanted so bad I could taste it, back before I had anything, BUT, I was just going to suggest that your firearms want list will almost undoubtedly be a work in progress: As you shoot the ones you've bought, you'll find limits or surprises, and you'll sell or trade for something new, and so on, and so on...
Just make sure that you don't end up playing the stock market in reverse, especially if you are youngish, and funds are at a premium: Don't rush out and buy something new, unless you've tried one already and KNOW it works for you. It is quite expensive to buy something, not like it, trade it in at a loss, then try something else.
I would really recommend test driving first, then try to buy used, THEN if you still like that firearm 5 years down the road, THEN go buy a new one of the same model.
But - Have fun, anyway!
