Red Gun Lovers...how do you clean your rifles after firing corrosive ammo?

any solvent/oil works for me but it's really low humidity here.
sometimes my cz's go months between cleanings with lots of use in between with no ill effects

Boiling hot water, then a wipe with G96 gun oil. Windex is a waste of time/money as it does not contain any real ammonia which would loosen copper deposits, it is just colored water as far as your gun is concerned. 15 years ago I never cleaned after shooting corrosive (did not know any better at the time) and had no adverse effects to the rifle other than some rust spotting on the gas piston and inside the gas block which came off with a rag and some CLP. This was on chrome lined Chinese SKS rifles. Now that I know better it takes all of 5 mins to properly clean a rifle after corrosive ammo and rust is a thing of the distant past.

Mostly, I don't.

It only gets cleaned every third trip to the range or so. It gets a spray of WD-40 in the gas system and barrel between proper cleanings.

Windex right after shooting, once home boiling water followed by hopes #9 and finish it all off with a nice oiling.

Never, ever, ever, ever put water down your barrel, any gunsmith will tell you that. There's no guarantee you'll get every drop out, and it only takes a drop to start some corrosion and pitting, and yes, even with chrome lined, since you'll have some copper/chrome = galvanic cell.

Normal gun solvents will do the trick.

That's a load of crap.

We will now give you the opportunity to correct yourself for the example of others.

lol...

use boiling hot water, it heats the barrel that evaporates the remaining water

I usualy stick my rifle in the dishwasher with some cascade, does the trick! ;)

That'd pretty much make every military firearm useless then... Unless you never take them out in the rain.
