love it! how do you post pics, and how do you like your replica eotech? i have a replica aimpoint on mine but am thinking of switching to a eotech.

looks like you figured out the pics, not sure about the eotech, I am heading out to the bush right now so Ill let you know. Thats the only reason I am holding back on the M&P 15-22 because I would have to be heading to the range instead of the bush.

alright sounds good i havent actually shot mine yet so i dont no if my sight will hold or not.

I'm waiting to receive my Remington 597 VTR. My initial choice was for the Smith & Wesson, but since it's restricted we are only able to shoot it at the range...

And Drewster, you did a relly nice job. By the way, what scope do you have there?

Thanks friend, my initial choice was actually the 597, but once i heard about reliability issues regarding the 597 altogether i switched a regular 10/22 then to a sr-22 when it came out and then to the m4 ops (then heard about reliability issues with this) then to the S&W. Despite the fact that it is restricted i still have my dad's 10/22 for gophers and what not, and my special gun for the range.
The scope im using is an aimpoint replica (Comp M2 I believe) if you go on ebay you can find them for around $50 just type in G&P 30mm red dot and it will come up. I am actually thinking of switching to a replica Eotech 552 becuase i like thier looks a little more and the diameter of this sight i have is quite small. Thanks again, more pics to come once the rest of my accessories arrive.

The replica eotechs reticle's wash out in bright sunlight.
The center dot is also much larger than the real eotech.

Even with a real eotech, which I've also tried, you pretty much need to run a magnifier as well to do any accurate shooting past 50 yards.
The combined weight of the eotech and a magnifier is the same as any of the 1-5x designated marksman style scopes, and heavier than a fixed magnification compact shotgun scope.

So the reflex sights look tacticool, but didn't do very well at all for me shooting small targets at longer ranges, like gophers.
A cheapy bushnell shotgun scope was a huge improvement over a genuine eotech, in that particular application.

hm, thanks for the input, i will see how this aimpoint works out, the dot is still very bright on the brightest days, so we will see what happens. if it doesn't hold its zero or something, maybe ill try the eotech and if i dont like that ill get one of those bushnell style acog's or ncstar style acog..

The aimpoint replica's dots don't wash out as bad due to the darker tint of the glass.
That dark tint makes them harder to actually see good detail through though, but the bindon aiming concept (both eyes open) still works.

oh yes i see i see, im not quite used to having two eyes open still, i have practiced with my target rifle and just cant seem to get it down.. just feels odd.
