My personal opinion is that the RCMP are definitely looking at MANY different guns & "planning"...
I agree with what trottle_monkey said, the more people that have them, the better! So Zephram, JOIN US!!! We either stand together or hang seperately... Remember, each & every owner can contest the arbitrary reclassification in court. That's why the RCMP are going the way they are, they pick on the small numbers first, get precidence & keep pushing their agenda...
CobraGT, I'd contact CanAm and just tell him about the slamfires. With the spring, I was under the assumption that this could not happen...
Cheers

P.S. I've only put 5.56 through mine so far, but I will try some commercial fodder to see. Not sure when my next range day is, got a couple newbies requesting range time... Hopefully soon!
I also noticed you changed your flash hider. Is this one better thant the original one.
I noticed that you still have the m-21. Like it? or do you used serveral sights depending on the situation. BTW I wanted to ask : when you got your Tavor you posted some picx with a v58 and a shorty shotty ..what kind of shotty with a 5 rdn mag was that?
All mags dropped free, and everything worked properly, with the exception of a few slam-fires, which I attribute to the .223 commercial ammo I was using.
Holy s**t, I can't believe how casually you mention that. I would be pissed if that happened to me on any rifle let alone a $3000 + one! I can't think of a more unsafe thing to have as an issue in a rifle. Who wants a rifle that might fire accidently everytime you ready it.

Knowing that this has been an ongoing issue with Tavors this is not good news. Can you give us an update with this issue. What is Canam saying?
They have offered compensation of course as it is only 35 rifles worth $1200-1400. They have now set a precedent of compensation for seizure. So.....
What we all need to do is buy one of these beauties so there are thousands of $3000 rifles and they probably wouldn't confiscate as it would be a ridiculous waste of money on top of their already preposterous waste of money ( registry, CFC et cetera )
I wonder... if they sieze the rifle and pay you less than you've put into it, can you claim an investment capital loss on your income tax?![]()
