Prolly not. No flutes either.Cartridge selection is excellent, the stock is a little lacking though, gonna replace it?
Someone tell Gatehouse about this Thread. He needs to know that the 7x57 is truly the "King" of all Cartridges.
Shoulda bought a Tikka...
It's a King bbl.Nice Gun SC, what is the make of that pipe if you dont' mind me asking ?
Saw you were trying to flog it to 'Tikka boy' on the other site...![]()
I bought this JC Higgins of the EE this winter in 270Win. The barrel was kinda cruddy looking but had a good bore so I sold it off and had the old FN fixed up a bit.
If it's a J.C. Higgins it's a Model 50 or 51 marketed through Husqvarna and F/N Belgium. Just wondering who made the barrel?
I didn't care for that trigger much at all either. The one on this rifle was replaced with a modified (1 stage) military trigger. The only thing I don't like about the M50 is their goofy trigger set-up. The trigger is pinned to the bottom metal and the sear is pinned to the receiver. They function ok if the guard screws are kept tight but I replace them with a Timney.
Prolly not. No flutes either.
