Semi auto tactical shotgun

I have been thinking about this myself.....the Rem 1100 is looking good.....easily swap out extension, choked, parts, service etc...can practice with it back home....good prices

11000 and1187 are the slowest semi,s i have ever shot.
go with the m2 tactical

Buy two. Make one a Mossberg 590 pump with rifle sights and side saddle to hold extra rounds. 8 + 1, and will handle 3" shells. Use this for practical shotgun and 3 gun stuff.

2nd gun... whatever - to suit your other needs.

I don't see the point of it as it would have to be plugged once added.

not only plugged but it would need to follow the same guidelines as plugging a rifle magazine, so the tube would have to be permenently modified to hold no more then "5 rounds" of the type the gun is made for.... a wood dowel would not cut it, you would need to pop rivet it or weld it.

I can beat an M4 on the trigger.......so what!

If you are shooting at targets, aimed, and beating the action, my bets are you aren't hitting the targets!

Not to mention, the M2 is $1700
The tricked out Remington 11-87 Police is within a couple hundred of the M2. The extra money is well worth it. No O-rings or brittle action bars to worry about with the Benelli.

How would one go about cleaning an 1100, if it was permanently pinned? I think not!

If it was my gun, the mag extention would be fitted with a cylindrical sleeve, just slightly wider than the spring, stopping the follower just before that 6th round of 3 inch would fit. Easy peasy.

Here is what I am thinking of:

There isn't a whole pile of crap hanging off of it, and I bet it would be the cats meow for multigun in the US, twist the extension off for coming back to Canada.....what could be easier? And it is not close to $2000

Fool me. I read the caption, missed the bit about "used mostly for 3 gun.." and was wondering all along why sights were not important, and why all the stuff about magazine capacity, 3" shells, and what have you. No, not a tactical shotgun, a race gun.
Then the answer is "Whatever floats your boat."
