I always liked the way they looked, never used one never will.
My opinion you could spend the money on ammo to get better at shooting and or take a seminar or course to hone the skills!
In my opinion money being better spent.
I have run a Redi Mag ever since '06 overseas. Like others have said, the first reload is the most important. Once that is done tac-load the redimag when you can and bump your mags on your loadout. This coupled with the Magpul BAD is a very slick way to run your gun. What ever you run, just be sure that you practise with it. Fumbling with mags under stress when you really need them is not cool.
I orderd my latest one from Brownells without any issues.
YMMV,

Once you modify your drills to use one they're a nice addition. Practice quick reloads from the redimag and reload the redimag, not the rifle in lulls. What it does is makes it so you're not fumbling when you need to be shooting and are reloading when you have the time. I've seen a lot of people that use it to just carry a spare mag and next thing you know you have 2 empty mags and the redimag just becomes a hindrance. If you're trying to reload 2 mags at a time you're going to have problems.
Like anything after-market accessory they require a change of your tactics and practice. Most of the people I've seen with them mounted them not knowing ahead how to use them.
Personally I like them and think they're a great addition.
whats the experience with Brownells shipping to canada? i need some springs for a gun and when i go to checkout the shipping cost is "to be determined". I have no idea if that means $10 or $100.
does shipping seem reasonable - basically just their cost?
thanks
Just tried to order one from Brownells and then Redi-mag and neither will ship to Canada now!![]()
when you have them ship by ups it arrives in about a week. You'll pay both taxes, a shipping charge and a brokerage fee. Brokerage seems to be based on dollar value. The shipping charge didn't seem huge. The shipping charge is on your card the other fees cod.
