Father's day NO TAX SALE at Lebaron's June 10-19

Almost 90% of the gun stores I personally visit are packed with attitude. I don't get it. Shooting sports are not exactly "mainstream", why wouldn't they try to encourage repeat customers? Instead, most places you go you have guys behind the counter who simply want to argue how much they know vs. how little you know. Or, at the big box stores you get the guys who act like they are doing you a favour by serving you when they finally can't ignore you any longer, just so they can tell you they have nothing you want. I deal with our site sponsors and have had good results with all the ones I've dealt with. I think they sponsor this site because they want to serve people like us.

P.S. P&D is the Mecca of gun stores.

I think it's kind of a gun thing. Take a look around your gun club and you'll see many of the same types, different people, but same attitude.

For a sub culture, we do more to shoot ourselves in the foot than most organizations.

Too true, the old school bolt action crowd is hard on black rifle folks like myself. Maybe it's just the person I am, I can get along with anybody that is secure enough with themselves to be respectful of others, and I don't bother with people who aren't. But I've gotten some sneers and head shakes almost every time I go. I'm respectful of the rules and courteous. It turns some of the new shooters away though.
