yes... thats exactly where the inspiration came from.. :) i love VSS Vintorez

I like it! Which color you're painting it?

Have you shot with it yet?

i'll stain it with "american chestnut" (this reddish polyurethane stain i picked up today)... no i havnt shot it yet.. it got assembled an hour ago... :)

Looks great. Reminds me of my first stock before my Vintorez one - very ergo. I used mahagony red stain - I think that worked well.
i remember.. you posted some pics a while ago.. did you ever finished that build..? do you have pics..?

nice work dimitri , what kind of ply wood is that ? and how did you attached it to the receiver?

Damn that is nice, I just finished making a full AK47 kit for my CZ and a spestnaz VZ kit. I have no friggin idea how to upload pics on this friggin site to show you guys though.
Any help?

i used 3 layers of 11mm russian birch plywood.. it is very strong, layering allowed me to make a solid connection to the receiver.. tonight after work i'll take pics of both connections..

hey there neighbor... :) ok what you do..... you get an account at Photobucket.com, there you can organize everything nice, create folders and all, create a folder "My VZ" for example, and then press a big button :) upload pictures, then save them, then, when you'll have all the pics in desired album..
point the mouse at the picture youd like to post, and you'll see a bunch of codes pop out.. copy the last one... ... and then paste it in the reply/thread... Pictures will be showing as long as they stay in original order in Photobucket...

Hope that helps... now lets see your ak furniture... :onCrack:

thank you all..

I just finished staining the stock.. looks very nice.. :) I also cut the magazine few inches smaller to make it look better.. and it did.. :)
And yes i'm trying come up with the design for the cheek rest...

New pics will be up as soon as the stock dries.:)
