the AR handle & flip front site makes a nice start, Then you can add a handle rail for optics. The rail is a little low unless you use a riser.

The sights work well however I will have to shim the sight base ¼ to bring it in line with the rail system right now you are with a ½ riser you are 10 inches high with out it you are 10 inches low. My plan is to make a whole new base to have the same lines as a true m4. These cheap ACOG clone works great on this little gun bought from a fellow CGN member for approx 80.00 just on the cool factor alone money well spent.
