If I was Marstar, I wouldn't change a thing. They rake in tons of pre-orders from people like you who believe their expected delivery dates, even though they are almost always wrong. He could be making up random dates for all we know.
...snip...
As for Marstar, I think they will keep milking the gullible customer by giving out expected delivery dates because it increases pre-orders, which certainly makes their life easier for billing and mailing when the product comes in. Sure it pisses off a few people who want their gun by a certain time, but most people are either in it for the low price or are too lazy to cancel.
Geeze, you must be new to this game... still in jr high?
All of the importers: Wolverine, Arms East, MarStar, Lever, TSE ect. et al all use the same advising/ordering system, but only MarStar seems to be subject to this constant invective and whining.
I'm tired of it, I'm sure so are a lot of people. MarStar has saved a lot of people lots of money by simply
announcing that they were bringing in guns at an
estimated price and time.
I suppose that you should voluntarily send John $200 for the M14S that you would have paid $799 for instead of the $399 that Marstar sold them for.
The Norinco 1911a1 that was selling for $525 that Marstar imported and sells for $350.
Now the "M4" that was selling for $899, that just the promise of Marstars shipments has reducing in price to $699 from most of the dealers.
So if you find it necessary to complain about the speed of the shipments, feel free to take advantage of the pricing situation which Marstar has created for you by purchasing a similar product from a competitor and then send John half of the money he has saved you.
I'm sure John's improved profit margin could result in air freight of some of those products you are SooooOOO excited about....
At work I sometimes have to deal with manufacturers, customs, customs brokers and shipping, you should try it sometime....
