Walrus defence thread

22 wmr for sure!

I would think a 22 wmr would be more then enough, walruses are kinda like nature's mammalian balloon; once you punch through their skin they just kinda deflate. If your gonna go with 22lr then stick with a semi as some quick follow up shots may be required :p

Depends which species. Now for the Prairie Reticulated Walrus, I'd go with a 25MM Bushmaster Chaingun (I think you can get 'em at Wholesale). The Southern AB ones are particularly feisty.... Anything of the aquatic/ocean-type species are easily taken with the MK46 ACCAP.

I was gonna say African or European?, but i forgot about the Reticulated Prairie Devil. They say it kills more Inuit each year than a Hippopotamus.

Krausermeister Schutzenblaster in 577 would sort that bugger out. Get the semi auto version. Just remember "overgunned is fun, undergunned is bad" and can lead to "really effin bad" in some cases. Especially if it decides to either eat you or have wild ###. Either way not good. Unless of course, you are a consenting adult.....

A double barreled harpoon gun, with a deep penetrateing line carrying lance in the right barrel and an explosive dart in the left. Remember to load them both pointy part forward, some unfortunate beginners have given a right and left to an enraged prairie walrus only to be confronted with creature now armed two tusks, two harpoons and a rope. The results aren't pretty.

Question: What is the difference between a Walrus and a Blueberry?
Answer: Blueberries are blue.

Question: What is blue and sits on top of a very flat Blueberry bush?
Answer: A Walrus disguised as a Blueberry.

Moral: When picking blueberries, always carry enough gun; you can get a terrible surprise when reaching for that next Blueberry.

You're all way over gunned! My grand-pappy used to kill them prairie type walrusses with a sling shot and a mean stare! .22lr for walrus... Sheesh! Next you'll try telling me you need more than a .243 to kill a Bull Moose! Why, my grand-pappy used to ...
