i have a the BRP mold used for my 308, 180 grains. its a 5 cavity with 2 of them hollow pointed and is a pleurae to work with.
i did have to pay extra for customs, just my luck i guise.
also have an NOE for my 223 with 2 cav' hollow pointed 55grain. have another 2 NOE's on the way, 5 cav with 2 hollow pointed for 458 460 grains and another 223 5 cavity with 3 hollow pointed 69 grain.
they are well worth the money.
but be ready to pay custom for canada post, its a hit or miss thing, my BRP mold got "inspected" by customs and they made me pay brokerage and custums fees.
the NOE came in smoothly with no stops on the way.
Pros and cons of BRP Vs NOE.
The BRP molds have the classic pin hollow point which is adjustable.
So with one 308 mold I can create hollow point boolits that weight from 180 grain to almost 150 grain.
More versatile and room to play for hollow point pin length.
The bad side of it is that it takes a bit more time to cast with and you MUST PAY ATTENTION where you place those pins when you take them out.
You don’t want them rolling off the table and hitting the floor which can possibly get them out of alignment.
Also you must take care the pins are turned half way to hold there place while filling the mold, a bit more than half turn and they may come out of the mold.
The NOE hollow point is a cramer style (no not the guy from Seinfeld ) they are set in the mold which makes casting hollow points a bit quicker. The down side to it is that you can not adjust the pin length.
Well, that is my 2 cents on them. Both companies manufacture superb molds of high quality.
