I found I went thru a pot of lead really fast with my first 6 cavity mold's, but the production!
It was a Castboolit's 350gr 45-70 6 cavity.
My second was a 450gr 45-70 mold

good looking boolits , Noe also makes an outstanding mould I have 4 and they cast beau-tifuly ! hope you enjoy your new toy , There is nothing like a custom mould to make you smile!

I have some NOE molds on the way too, I hope they look as good as that one, I also have a few BRP molds coming, does anyone have any experience with them?

i have a the BRP mold used for my 308, 180 grains. its a 5 cavity with 2 of them hollow pointed and is a pleurae to work with.
i did have to pay extra for customs, just my luck i guise.
also have an NOE for my 223 with 2 cav' hollow pointed 55grain. have another 2 NOE's on the way, 5 cav with 2 hollow pointed for 458 460 grains and another 223 5 cavity with 3 hollow pointed 69 grain.

they are well worth the money.
but be ready to pay custom for canada post, its a hit or miss thing, my BRP mold got "inspected" by customs and they made me pay brokerage and custums fees.
the NOE came in smoothly with no stops on the way.

Pros and cons of BRP Vs NOE.

The BRP molds have the classic pin hollow point which is adjustable.
So with one 308 mold I can create hollow point boolits that weight from 180 grain to almost 150 grain.
More versatile and room to play for hollow point pin length.

The bad side of it is that it takes a bit more time to cast with and you MUST PAY ATTENTION where you place those pins when you take them out.
You don’t want them rolling off the table and hitting the floor which can possibly get them out of alignment.
Also you must take care the pins are turned half way to hold there place while filling the mold, a bit more than half turn and they may come out of the mold.

The NOE hollow point is a cramer style (no not the guy from Seinfeld ) they are set in the mold which makes casting hollow points a bit quicker. The down side to it is that you can not adjust the pin length.

Well, that is my 2 cents on them. Both companies manufacture superb molds of high quality.

None of my Noes or BRPs are Hp'ed as i don't particularly care for HP with cast unless at low velocity and cast very soft, as the Hp section seems to "wipe off" on big game, esp. on heavy bones. Varminting would be a different story of course. Has anyone had contrary results with cast HPs on big game?

Custom sizing dies are avail. from: Lathesmith(Star) and Buckshot(Lyman, Lee) both on Cast Boolits website, the Lyman/Rcbs custom size dies are also avail. from Buffalo Arms in Id.

Ben: I have one of the first NOE's that were produced. 358318/3 cav. I opted for a hollow point for one cavity but I prefer to use the reverse end of the pin to produce a flat point. My experience with hollow points is that the noses do self destruct and at revolver velociy at that. Remember the old Speer 146 grain .357 jacketed hollow point?
Rather quickly went to Keith style cast with gas check after some poor results with the Speer on predators.

Ben.
I mostly hunt paper so im not sure of the hollow point performance on game, however I do find that hollow pointing can sometimes increase accuracy.
It has been noticeable especially in my 223. Now i’m tinkering with the hollow point depth and bullet weight variable.
