450 marlin
In your first line you comment on a big bore lever gun,450's seem to be more common than 45-70's in the levers.A friend had a 444 it seemed to be very small to shoulder and a ton of muzzle jump/flash.
I have a Browning BLR in 450 stainless grey laminate,I really like this thumper.
The BLR also has a clip other than a tube magazine.I shoot hornady lever revolutions 325's,they kill like the hammer of Thor!! I carry this gun while pushing deer chase's,much lighter than the auto's.
Not much fun to shoot off a bench though.
