Rebarreled 858 in .22

Clobber.. Totally different with the AR being restricted by name. If one was to make a pump 18.5" barrel 858 there should not be a problem. As I remember it was the way Remington marketed their rifle.

And I think the Dlask pump used a standard AR lower, so class did not change.

By all means go ahead and try to get it approved. The FRT Lab in Ottawa have proven time and time again that they will do what suits them, not what the law allows. Do some research in black rifles and in Wolverine's (the site dealer/sponsor) forums and see what the result was for trying to produce a pistol mag for the TP9. Even though there is a full pistol version of that carbine available in the US.

I am aware of the TP9 mag issue. As I recall Wolverine chose not to pursue legal action on the mag cap.. not that there was no basis to fight.

I agree that the classification situation is off the leash and should be reigned in ASAP.

I also agree a manufacturer bringing a new black/green/red firearm to the Canadian market better have deep pockets for all the roadblocks.
