Final pieces are accepted and running. I'm glad that we took our time.. the final product is more than awesome. We're really happy with the engineering and manufacturing in this piece.

We'll have our Extended Mag releases in at the same time. We'll probably blow the inventory out on these and focus on the Ambi's. So there'll likely only be 100 of the extended releases made.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

BRAIN NOT COMPUTE LEARNING

I assume that they are compatible, though.

Answered correctly, not accurately. ;)

Yes they are designed to work together.

The idea being that your right hand stays on the grip at all times, your gun and eyes stay on target, or at least forward to assess, while all your left hand is required to do is feed-the-pig. So you shoot, release the mag, and reengage the bolt all with your trigger finger. It is very fluid, very natural, and very, very fast.

Should i feel shame that those pics leave me feeling slightly aroused?

Yes, yes you should. :D

I'm wonder if this release will increase the chance of an accidental mag dump when the rifle is slung or resting against the body? I like the idea of having an ambi release but I don't much like the idea of dumping the mag inadvertently. I know this happens with the Norgon release on the AR.

I assume it is this issue that caused the designers to have protective ears around the OEM mag release. Your thoughts?

I've been running the prototype for a while now and haven't had a issue. I run a single-point sling and my rifle is always getting thrown around for transitions. I also used a Dlask extended release for a couple years before this and also never had an issue with oversized releases. Our release doesn't stick out much farther than his does. And the right side is actually even closer to the receiver than the left. We just wanted to give enough real estate on the right for a right handed shooter to release with their index finger, while keeping in mind you mutant lefties out there. ;)

I think a lot of the reason is because of the amount of movement required before the magazine actually releases. It's quite forgiving and requires a deliberate movement.

We have some of these and other items heading overseas for trials for some guys with way more time than me on this rifle (And I'm nearing the 70k rnd mark this fall).. that are pretty horny for this. I'm sure we'll know real quick if they like them as much as we do..
