I de-Norced mine last year. I started with a file and shaped the slide and the frame to remove the markings till they were just about gone. Then I took some 220 grit sand paper and smoothed out the file marks and finished with 400 grit wet or dry sandpaper. Sandblasted it and parkerized it.
To be different I parked everything but the frame, changed the sights and the barrel bushing and added a different trigger and a cheap set of grips.
I fitted the slide to the frame which took about 1 hour, fitting the bushing was about 2 hours. The cost of the sights was 45.00 off of evilbay, 20 for the grips and 25 for the bushing.
Beside my Colt Gold Cup I am ashamed to say that it is just as reliable and accurate as the $1400.00 colt. Some will argue with me but I have the targets to prove it. Shooting H&G #68 bullet with some bullseye powder you can not tell which pistol I used for which target.
It is a fun pistol to shoot and very accurate for the 300.00 and 100.00 in accessories.
I could add an extended grip safety and thumb safety but I didn't.
Wish I had a good camera, mine is an old crappy 2 meg camera from 10 years ago. Maybe I should sell my Gold Cup and get a good camera, lol.
Love the look of your Norc job there Dacton.
