AK47 idea

I'm wondering what the obsession is with trying to make rifles that look like AK-47s?
There are fantastic rifles out there that match the AK-47 as far as reliability, simplicity and cool factor.
Case in point: The VZ-58.
Eastern block, hard hitting caliber, cheap to shoot, simple, reliable, durable and ###y.

But they look like they are made out of glue and old soup cans.

Should be no problem. The parts are just that, parts. So long as you don't use the receiver.

For now this SKS is unique since it's custom made by me.

I'll take two of those stocks, maybe three if they're under $250.

I just want some damn wood furniture for my CZ.

We're currently making a set out of birch. They look damn ###y and I hope that we get it done and a set of photos up in a month or so. (Cold weather indoor project lol)

i found who is doing this, he is in the states and has a patent pending and wants to start shipping these rifles off "in a couple years".

I dont know how he is doing it but he is using parts from several different guns (fal, 858, etc) to make these things awesome, and have i mentioned he has converted them to take ak and cz 858 mags??? i think i just jizzed my pants..

Well, cross out cool factor and ###y and your post would be accurate. Vz's are fugly as hell! ever fire an AK before? The sound makes me hard.

Of course, this is just my opinion. Take it with a batch of salt!

I have to agree with you, AKs are ###y, CZ or VZ not so much. While I do own one, they just dont do it for me like an ak does, but that craptactular press wood s**t on them doesnt help, real wood please.

They really are kinda ugly and look to pussified in design, I like the ruggedness of the ak, its very crude looking and thats how I like my firearms.

Too each his own I guess, but still the fact that I cant own a semi AK makes me want to do things to liberals.
