With new Norincos available at less than $700 (+taxes and shipping naturally), the option of buying a brand new black rifle looks pretty appealing.
BUT, there are a fair number of (allegedly) nearly new Colts out there on the EE, not to mention a selection of Bushmasters and just about everything else.
Is there a downside to an older Colt, obviously assuming it's been cared for properly? I'm enough of a traditionalist that I'd rather buy a product from an original maker rather than a clone (and yes, I understand how Colt got into the business of building them), particularly an unlicensed one.
