Ours is about 3 months and there are plenty of moose around. When I was over at Gros Morne, one of the parks folks said there were an average of 7 moose per square km on the west coast/northern penninsula.

Yeah. I think next time I'm going to QC or NFLD. I heard that you can get a caribou hunt in QC for $600 in January. Heck, if I could find someone to guide me for a reasonable price in Labrador, a non-res licence is only $120 there.
I'd suggest you do it sooner rather than later. Caribou populations are dropping dramatically all across the north, including Quebec and Labrador. And with them, of course, the number of available licenses.
Caribou hunting in NL isn't what it used to be, but its still pretty good.
