need info on ithaca 12 gauge semi auto

If it a recoil opperated version, try oiling the mag tube where the dampening bushing
sits on top of the recoil spring that slides over mag tube.
Also oil the part of the barrel that slides into the receiver.
It is very possible the barrel is not sliding its full stroke to cycle the action.
Too light of loads in a dry gun will do this.
Also take the mag tube apart to make sure its clean,
and the togel recess's are clean and togels move freely.
There used to be a gun shop in Dunnville Ont called "Sharps gunworks"
that was an Ithica dealer with new and used parts.

thanks leadslinger i`d be beholden to you for that.when i popped one in and tried it i really liked the gun.pinned to two..must have been doing something other than hunting........i halfheartedly presume

i used that number tonight and talked with ron,awesome charactertalked me through a few things and apparently fixes guns over the phone all the time.mine is a recoil 900 not an xl.and leadslinger if you phone about the barrel give him your serial # .he says if yours is like mine its not an xl900.................thanks cantom..........brad

He hand built me a new NOS Ithaca M37...used to be the foreman of the Canadian Ithaca plant and has kept the faith, all these years.
I've never seen a pump work better...he knows his stuff.
